Subject: [gislist] Converting line intersections to a point coverage
Date:  04/13/2004 07:10:01 PM
From:  Zane Crawford

I have a coverage made up of ~100 polyline features, each with a unique
ID. Many of the lines intersect, and I want to extract all of the
intersections as a point coverage. I tried using NODEPOINT at the arc
command line, but the resulting point coverage was only the endpoints of
the lines, not their intersections.

What's the right way to do this? Do I need to somehow split it into 100
different coverages based on the line IDs, and then do 100 successive
clipping operations? That doesn't seem right...
