Subject: Re: [gislist] stereoscope

Hi,=0D
=0D
there are many ways you can view stereoimages on a monitor =0D
1) (the cheapest) cross view or paralel view methods lets you see 3D with=
out
any equipment at all. But first you have to learn them. Personally I pref=
ere
cross-view. One of many tutorials is located at http://www.edge-3d
com/how_to.htm=0D
2) (also very cheap) convert your stereo image pair to anaglyphs and look=
at
them through red-blue or red-cyan anaglyph glasses. Free software "Anagly=
ph
maker" for anaglyph creation is at http://www.stereoeye.jp/software/index=
_e
html Anaglyph glasses are very cheap (prices start with 0.40$ for paper
glasses) http://www.3dglasses.net/3dglasses.htm sells them.=0D
3) (a little more expensive) convert your images to LC shutter glasses
compatible format (Anaglyph maker can do this too). LC shutter glasses
probably is one of the best ways to see in 3D. Price is about 35$ at
http://216.122.237.208/Merchant2/merchant
mv?Screen=3DPROD&Store_Code=3DV&Product_Code=3DKITVIS1.6=0D
4) mirror stereoscope. Prices vary greatly but you can get one for 39$ at
http://www.ascscientific.com/stereos.html=0D
5) stereoscopic kits for almost any LCD display (no glasses or stereoscop=
es
needed): http://www.3dz.co.uk/3d_lcd_monitor.html=0D
6) (expensive but cool !) No stereoscopes needed as this is 3d monitors:
http://www.dti3d.com/, =0D
7) if you can afford you can play with this too: http://www
actuality-systems.com/index.php3=0D
=0D
Try googling for more...=0D
