Apparently MicroDEM can read HGT files. This is new to me - I need to update
the Grime Site (www.grime.net/gistools)! It seems the link on Grime to
MicroDEM is broken too! To get MicroDEM, try
http://www.wood.army.mil/TVC/MicroDEMV5/microdem_ver_51.htm.
