Subject: [gislist] Tolerance in ArcMAP
Date:  04/27/2004 10:35:01 PM
From:  Doddapaneni Sridhar

Dear Group,

Please provide your valuable Inputs, suggestions on the bleow mentioned
situation:

We created a coverage created from the "dgn" file with required tolerances
in ArcInfo ie., fuzzy tolerance of 0.005 and Dangle 0.05.

After cleanup in ArcInfo, the tolerances are same as above when checked in
ArcInfo.

We created a Personal Geo-Database and imported the above "Coverage" into
Geodatabase.

This GeoDatabase layer is again converted to coverage and checked for
tolerance in "ArcInfo" we did find a variation in the tolerance (Fuzzy
tolerance was found to be 12.506).

Why i am getting this difference?

Can anyone let me know what is the solution or can we can presume that after
converting the data from the Geodatabase to coverage, the coverage is taking
default values?...

Thanks in advance...

Bye,
Sridhar.D
