Subject: [gislist] Editing end vertices
Date:  05/01/2004 10:35:01 PM
From:  Pradeep Kumar

Hi Listers,=0A=0AI am working on a polyline shape file in ArcMap 8.3. I req=
uire to edit these polylines by moving the end vertices to a new location. =
But, there are cases where many polylines are merging at a single place. So=
, I need to pick the end vertices of all these polylines, in a single attem=
pt and place them onto the new location. But, when I pick the vertex, only =
one endpoint of a polyline is selected and so I am able to edit only one fe=
ature at a time. =0A=0AI think there was a tool called sharing geometry edi=
t in the earlier version, through which, we can pick the end vertices of al=
l the features those lie one above the other or snapped to each other. But,=
I am not getting this tool at this time. Has it been removed in this versi=
on? I am sure, there must be some tool or method , by which we can pick mul=
tiple end vertices those are snapped to each other. =0A=0AI will appreciate=
, if any one can provide me any suggestions or ideas for executing this tas=
k.=0A=0ARegards,=0APradeep Kumar
