Hi Chris,
You can find the aerial/satellite imagery for San Francisco Bay Area (mainly San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties) from the below given provider or from the terraserver.com side. I suggest you to just go and visit the terraserver.com side before purchase any data.
The terraserver.com has provided the USGS images in free of cost in perviously but right now i don:t know about that. For that you have to visit and find out from the side.
