Hi there,
Unfortunately, I didn't get any useful responses from the List.
However, a colleague directed me to ISC Mapping Services. ISC = Information
Services Corporation of Saskatchewan. Among other things, they supply air
photos and orthophotos. They didn't have orthophotos for my study area, but
are supplying scanned air photos at two scales. They can send hardcopy photos,
or scan photos and send digital. Costs start around CDN$15/print + shipping +
handling + taxes.

Can anyone direct me to a source of orthophotography for Saskatoon (in
Saskatchewan, Canada)?
We don't want to fly anything new, just pick up something that already exists,
for a small area south of Saskatoon. Free or cheap if possible.
