Subject: [gislist] Adding Data About Intersecting Streets to Street Network Data
Date:  06/08/2004 02:10:01 PM
From:  Derek Link

Greetings list,

I think we are close to solving this on our own, but
some more advice might be useful. We have a polyline
street network that has a node at every intersection.
The line segments have address ranges associated with
them. All the line segments have been digitized in
the same direction as the ascending street numbers.
What we are trying to do is populate a field for each
street segment that contains the name of the
intersecting streets. For example, the line segment
for 7th street between 1st and 2nd ave would contain
values associated with 1st ave and 2nd ave in its
attribute table. Anyone know how to do this? BTW:
each street segment is a single line, even if traffic
flows in both directions. We are using ESRI desktop
and workstation, and all the data are stored in a
geodatabase.
