Subject: RE: [gislist] Ikonos footprints
Date:  06/30/2004 07:30:01 AM
From:  Anthony Quartararo

True, and for the past two years, it's been pointed mostly at half a dozen
places 'round the world at the behest of it's biggest client.

We really do need 3-4 more satellites of the sub-meter class to begin to
address the latent commercial demand. Better yet, anyone have an idea how
many satellites of this grade would be needed to have a true, geostationary
global footprint [forget about the oceans, just land area] ?

Anthony
