I've been asked to post the following position notice. If interested,
please respond to Dr. Jeremy Crampton - his contact info. may be found
below:

> Georgia, Atlanta 30302-3998. Georgia State University. The Department
> of Anthropology and Geography invites applications for a tenure-track
> Assistant/Associate Professor in GIS and public health with
> appointment between January and August 2005. Expertise in a broad
> variety of GIS to public health applications will be considered, with
> particular consideration given to the spatial analysis of diseases and
> risk behaviors. We are looking for candidates who integrate GIS with
> public health, epidemiology, geostatistical methods, geovisualization,
> and medical geography. A PhD in geography or closely related field is
> required. Specialization is preferred in one or more of the following
> general areas: HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases, injury and violence,
> substance abuse and mental health, and chronic diseases and
> illness. Teaching responsibilities should add to or complement
> existing courses in human geography, GIS and public health. This new
> faculty position will enable interdisciplinary collaboration as part
> of the University's investment in Urban Health Research, which will
> include 16 new faculty members across the University. Position open
