Subject: RE: [gislist] Connecting Arc Explorer to SDE 8.3
Date:  07/23/2004 11:15:01 AM
From:  Ted Cisine

Ok, I got the dll to register and can connect to SDE, but none of my data
shows up. Is there an extension or something that I need to turn on similar
to AV 3.x?

Subject: [gislist] Connecting Arc Explorer to SDE 8.3

I am trying to connect ArcExplorer 2.0 to SDE 8.3 and get the common
"invalid database" error. I found a ESRI support thread that states that I
need to register the mosde80.dll manually. I have attempted this but get a
new error while trying to register saying LOADLIBRARY ("C:PROGRAM")
FAILED - THE SPECIFIED MODULE COULD NOT BE FOUND.

I tried upgrading to 4.1 Java which allowed me to connect but then gave me
an error of "cannot retrieve layers".

Any ideas? Thanks.

Ted
