Thanks all for responding to this. It looks as if the end result would be
for us to buy a "bigger bucket" and move all the data in there, however, the
process of moving all the data, sheet by sheet is still problematic. FME
was suggested, as well as some opensource and scripting tools. Not sure
what will happen with it, but one thing is for sure, it would appear on the
surface, that ESRI did not full appreciate the efforts involved in legacy
data migration from previous [then standard] data cataloging methods to the
new geodatabase model for smaller enterprises working with big datasets.
