Hello- I am working with a microfinance development bank in DC, and they are very enthuiastic about applying GIS in microfinance. Resulting from this research, the bank currently is using Garmin Ique handheld's to conduct GPS-referenced client impact assessment interviews in Mexico.
I wonder if anyone knows someone that might be willing to provide general guidance or hands-on assistance creating poverty maps for various areas of Mexico where this bank is collecting data. I have been told that I may be able to obtain relatively good data from the Mexican government Instituto Nacional de Estadistica Geografia y Informatica (INEGI, http://www.inegi.gob.mx/inegi/default.asp), but I'm having trouble navigating their website.
Thank you!!
