I have a question or scenario to pose to the group. =20 I am making a two button toolbar extension for ArcMap in VB compiled to a DLL.(clsExtension , clsToolbar) Presently, Button 1 starts a form that allows users to transfer GPS jobs and create/store Shapefiles on the computer system.(clsCmd2 invokes frmDataHandler.Show) The Second button, Adds the created Shapefiles to the current ArcMAP session.(clsAddShapefiles). =20 After transferring and creating shapefiles (Button 1) I would like to prompt the user to Add the newly created data to the map, if the user clicks yes I want to invoke Button2 without them clicking it giving the appearance of smooth flow of processing (I know that the number of clicks is the same, msgbox vs button, but this is what the client wants). I still want to leave Button 2 as it will remember the last job processed. =20 So I moved my Sub AddShapefiles from clsAddShapefiles to modProject becuase I thought it would be the best place to share the code. Now I can access the sub from both buttons but now bombs on the=20 Set m_pDoc =3D m_pApp.Document statement as I try to get a hook back to the Application. What am I missing? I need to know how to get this aligned=20 OR Is there a way to invoke Button 2 (has hook to ArcMap ) directly from the Msgbox in Button 1(does not have hook into ArcMap.) =20 TX TvV _______________________________________________ gislist mailing list gislist@lists.geocomm.com http://lists.geocomm.com/mailman/listinfo/gislist
