Subject: [gislist] arcims
Date:  08/20/2004 02:05:01 PM
From:  MacDonald, Daniel P ERDC-CRREL-NH

Hi all

I am having a problem with ArcIMS 4. We where able to get the arcims
working once and we saved all of the settings and we rebooted. Now ArcIMS
will run but the map display comes up with retrieving data and it eventually
comes back and says unable to display mapservice. When ArcIMS was working I
could check and see the jpeg file in the output folder. Now there is no
image in the output folder. When I try to change any of the settings I get
unable to change the mapservice, I can not delete the mapservice, and I can
not add a mapservice. I have tried to reboot the computer, stop all of the
services, and make sure the permissions are open on the output folder. I
thought of trying to lower or increase the size of the jpeg file being
created. I tried to change the axl file to a shapefile instead of an sde
layer thinking the sde server might be having a problem. I have tried to
create a new axl file thinking the other one might be corrupted. We can not
update axl as well. Any and all help will be appreciated

Thanks

Dan
