Subject: RE: [gislist] ISO 19115 metadata standard - query
Date:  09/03/2004 07:00:00 AM
From:  Sonny Parafina

Pandian,

IONIC RedSpider Catalog and RedSpider Web both include an ISO 19115 Metadata
tool for creating metadata. The full ISO standard is supported in both
products. You can try out a "lite" version of the ISO 19115 Metadata Editor
at www.askthespider.com and click on the ISO 19115 Editor tab to launch the
tool. RedSpider Catalog uses Oracle natively.

There is more information about our OGC and ISO compliant products at:
http://www.ionicenterprise.com

Regards,

Sonny Parafina

Subject: [gislist] ISO 19115 metadata standard - query

hi all,

I have couple of questions regarding ISO 19115 metadata standard.

1) is there any UML tool support the full/partial implementation of
this standard? i looked at perceptory but all descriptions are in
french. is there any english versions?

2) How good is the ArcCatalog support for iso 19115? when i look at it
last time, esri site didn't explain the specifics of their support to
iso 19115?

3. what about the support from vendors like oracle, geomedia and others?

all comments are invited.

regards

pandian
