Subject: Re: [gislist] editing data/input via web gis/wms/wfs
Date:  09/05/2004 05:55:00 AM
From:  M. Eleiche

Dear Brian,

There're differences between input data remotely via web,
and update/edit to existing spatial data.

Each has its own technique.

It's not recommeded that you edit/update spatial data remotely,
and if you need to do so in the right way, taking into consideration
security issues and volume & nature of spatial data, it'll cost high.

However, collecting data from site & sending it to spatial data store,
is a straight forward task, and you send the data in text file and then its
imported to the data store.

Kind Regards

Mohamed Eleiche
