Civil Engineers calculate sight stopping distances. The most common
parameters are three foot six inch eye height and a six inch object. The eye position
and object position are moved to determine the greatest separation along a
roadway.
What GIS software is available for calculating sight stopping distance? What
data bases are acceptable for calculating sight stopping distance?
