Subject: [gislist] HP650 Plotter and ArcView 3.x
Date:  09/22/2004 10:20:01 AM
From:  RICK GRAY

Our small, non-profit recently received a donation of an HP DesignJet 650C for
plotting maps from ArcView 3.x. Of course, there are no manuals with it.

I have tried plotting some test images from Paint and PowerPoint and the
colours all look good. However, when I print from ArcView 3.2, the water (light
blue) comes out as a dark grey, the land (light green) comes out light grey, and
the highways and point features don't show up at all. When I tried changing the
water to a dark blue it comes out as yellow and changed the land to a pale
yellow, it stayed light grey.

I plotted a D size image, and the file size is about 3.5MB.

If anyone has experience with this combination of AV and a 650C and can shed
some light on why the colours are screwy, I'd be grateful.

Thanks
Rick Gray
