Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly to my query. I've been using ArcView for almost 15 years and never had the need to explore this before. Always good to learn something new!
Original Question: I wanted to change the "view from space" projection to rotate the globe for an animated gif.
Answer (from Gary Ostroff - the first to respond!): In AV3.2 you can go to the View Properties menu and open up the properties of the projection. By changing the central meridian and latitude, you can change the appearance of the globe. If you were to change the values by 0.5 degree, make an image of the view, change, image, change, image, you'd have the frames for an animation.
