Subject: RE: [gislist] Showing Pipe Diameter as ranges
Date:  10/04/2004 04:35:01 AM
From:  Mark de Blois

Hello Evaristo,

This is quite simple, all you have to do is go to the Properties menu of
the layer and choose the tab Symbology. You can either use the Graduated
Colors method to make a color classified visualization of your attribute
containing the diameters or you could use the Graduated Symbols method
to let your symbols vary in size (and color if you want) depending on
which class they represent. The method Proportional symbols lets you use
the actual value stored in this attribute to determine the width of your
symbol (rather than a classification with a fixed number of classes).

Have fun!

Onderwerp: [gislist] Showing Pipe Diameter as ranges

Hello everyone

Could someone help. I am using Arcview 8.3. I would like to present a
map showing water pipe diameters as ranges, say 75mm - 150mm, 200mm -
300mm, etc. The attribute is already available.

Thanks in advance

Evaristo
