Please some advice,
Initial data: - a route composed by the roads network. - a line representing a GPS track. NOTE: The GPS track is not exactly on route The mismatch can not be mathematical modeled - it is random.
I am using ARCGIS 9.0 and ARCGIS 8.3.
I tried the tool LOCATE FEATURES ALONG ROUTES - with GPS track as line - error. I tried the same tool LOCATE FEATURES ALONG ROUTES - but with GPS track as POINTS - 60% of points lost. Even if the Search Radius is set to 30 m it looses points located at 1-1.5 m from the road.
Does anybody used the Snap GPS Points to Route script developed by Dany Ghandour (http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=13689)?
Sincerely: Calin NITU Process Engineer TeleAtlas Europe
