Good Morning Listers:
The goal is to merge or append these .shp lines and points to the
existing geodatabase.=20
=20
I have created shapefiles from a version 9 geodatabase of lines and
points that need to be added to a different version 9 geodatabase.
During the export to .shp, field names were truncated to 10 characters.
Since these new names do not match existing names, the data does not
transfer to the existing table.=20
Is there a way to "map" fields so that the data will be imported during
the append function? Is there a better way to do the append? =20
Any help will be greatly appreciated and the sooner the better -
deadline approaches.
