Hello!
I was hoping that anyone could point me to some examples of projects that
are similar to what we want to do, or even if it is possible.
This is not going to be done anytime soon, but I want to start researching
how I am going to approach this.
We have ArcGIS 9, we are going purchase GPS units from Trimble (not sure
of the models yet).
We would like to be able to have an ArcGIS project open and have someone
in the field collecting points and show this 'live' within the project.
Essentially it is tracking a person in the field.
How could this work? Is it possible to automate it so a shapefile or
geodatabase file could receive the XY coordinate and create a point on the
fly?
