Hello all!
I am just beginning to build an ArcIMS website for the first time. Our
department has ArcIMS 9.
As I have been playing around with it, I have been able to have some
success. But am finding that it is pretty limited cartographically, and I
can't bring in .mxd's. Apparently I need an extension?
In addition, with the designer 'wizard' there isn't much opportunity to
customize the look of the page - so I am guessing either another extension
is needed or I need to use a product like Adobe Go Live?
Looking around at the sample user ArcIMS webpages on the ESRI website,
they are really, really quite good.
I am just wondering aside from having a really talented programmer, what
is the additional tools that are necessary to building a good ArcIMS site?
What are the extensions? Is Frontpage enough for manipulating the look
of the site?
