Hello,
There is a script on ArcScripts called gridspot http://arcscripts.esri.com/scripts.asp?eLang=&eProd=28&perPage=10&eQuery =gridspot
This should do the trick. It will put a new column in your database file with the elevation of the raster cell that is under each point.

Good Afternoon!
Here is my goal: I have 266 vector points representing locations of animal in its home range. I have a raster grid showing the elevation. I want to know the elevation at each of my vector points and then find the mean elevation for the home range. I do not want to use the identify tool to click on each vector point and then record the elevation at that point. I would rather use some type of spatial analysis tool that will do this for me. Does this exist?
I actually have about 1000 points, so I need an efficient method to accomplish this.
Thank you
