I disagree. I think this is a proper forum for both discussions (sometimes
ad nauseam) and help with specific software issues or how-to lessons. I am
a long time ESRI user, and agree that their help files are not terribly
helpful when it comes to some things. Part of the problem is, they often
have the programmers writing the help instead of professional writers (I
used to write help files for a living and tried to make mine very user
friendly including tutorials and tips). I feel this is a forum where
anything GIS related should or can be discussed.
