This is a great way to get a snapshot of license users.
I am looking for a similar tool that can keep track of license usage per individual (i.e. hours per day per user, etc.) and generate a report on a weekly or monthly basis.
Any thoughts?
thanks, jeremy

This list is great. I started getting replies in few minutes :) I got my answer from Carl Moczydlowsky and Ken Kirk @ APSU GIS Center. Thanks to them.
==== Answer ==== Open the license manager tools on the server. On the Server/License File tab select "Configuration Using Services" On the Server Status tabe select "Perform Status Inquiry" using the "list all active licenses" option.
*** It shows user name followed by machine name.
=== Followup question === Can I get the same information using ArcObjects in VBA? So, that at the startup, if licenses are taken out, ArcMap will prompt a list of the username & machine name checked out licenses. So, the user can call the other users to release license, if they are not using it!
Thanks again.

I got couple of interesting replies too.
01. Miguel Castrence sent me this link http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=13095 that prompts user to release any extension license when mxd is opened / new one is created.
02. Susan Zwillinger sent me an aml that waits for the needed license http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=10415
03. Jason Carr points me to ArcInfo Workstation's "User Diagnostics". But it only works if you have Workstation ArcInfo installed. Otherwise it's a good option from client machine.
04. Phil Sullivan refers to http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=10415 for WhereHaveAllTheLicensesGone executable file. I couldn't run it and readme.txt says it was tested on XP and requires ".NET framework". Looks like it's a neat tool.
-----Original Message----- Is there any tool available to find out user or/and pc name who checked out any floating ArcGIS license off the License Manager?
