I'd recommend the Garmin GPS76. Cost ~$170. Handles DGPS and WAAS. Lets you suck data off it via Garmin's proprietary protocol as well as NMEA via RS-232. External MCX antenna hookup (Antennas are cheap, I'd recommend one especially if working in canopied areas).
There are a few other good Garmin models that would suit your needs, but I like the 76 because of the external antenna option.
