I had a quick question for the ESRI pros.
I would like to select features from one layer in ArcMAP, and then copy these features to another layer with the attribute information. I figured out a way to do this by manually manipulating the dbf files for the shapefiles in a spreadsheet, but I'm really hoping there is an easier way.
I'm using ArcView 8.1. The user manual said the only way this will work is if you copy the features to the same layer. This is not what I want to do.
Any ideas?
