Subject: [gislist] Web Vehicle Tracking
Date:  06/10/2005 07:40:01 AM
From:  Chen Guo

Hi members,

I live in Kenya under a special assignement. I have been asked to
develop a vehicle tracking for the fleet that the department has but
the problem is I'm not very comfortable in this web tracking area. I
will be very much thankful, if anyone of you got a free script or
sourceforge script thats adoptable.

Primarily, the reqirement is,

1. It should be web based real time tracking
2. Use, GPS/GSM (900/1800) to get SMS back to server
3. Display position of the vehile on Map in the internet in real time,
4. Generate a report of vehicle ussage, where it was - when --etc
5. Can use either Java or ASP or PHP
6. Have a GPS/GSM modem that send SMS (no GPRS network)
7. Should use any sourcforge mapserver, like the UMN MapServer
8. Should allow different department to login and check the vehicle
status (multiple login)

If anyone could help me with this, I would really appreciate.

I would like to pay if someone can do this as contract. Please contact
me if you can help me out.

Need to get this developed in 6 weeks time.

Thanks
Chen
