Date:  07/07/2005 07:05:02 AM
From:  Mr. Mohamed Elshayal

Dear Mr. Solomon,

I followed your link and I have got the files and I'm studying them now in order to convert them to shapefiles

I found shapefiles versions of tiger 2000 at http://arcdata.esri.com/data/tiger2000/tiger_download.cfm

but I can not find a shapefile version of tiger 2004

Thank you and best regards

Hello Mr.Elshayal,
I dont know if this is the appropriate thing or whether this can be done but please follow this link to get the files I'm trying to get shapefiles of.
http://www.census.gov/geo/www/tiger/tiger2004fe/tgr2004fe.html

It is the US Census website and they are supposed to be new and updated boundary files. All of them are in ASCII. Can they be converted to shapefiles? They do not have x,y,z coordinates.

Thanks,
Solomon
