Subject: Re: [gislist] ECW to JPG conversion
Date:  08/24/2005 07:50:02 AM
From:  Tripp Corbin

Have you looked into ErMapper? That is the native app for creating and
converting ECW files. It also has a lot of other capability as well. If
you are going to be doing a lot of work with ECWs it might be worth
spending the money to get.

Subject: [gislist] ECW to JPG conversion

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has run into problems converting large ECWs ( >

40Mb) to JPG using Irfanview. I have successfully converted a 35Mb file.

I thought this may be a memory issue but I have the same problem on a
machine with 3Gb RAM.

Are there any other apps that I could use?

Cheers

James
