With respect to my previous email (pasted below), I have tried some extensions and scripts on the ArcScripts site [Shortest Network Paths (SNP) (9th September 1999) and Multiorigin to multidestination plus cost] but get a "Theme object does not recognize request GetFTab" error in each case. Unfortunately I do not know how to fix this problem (it's been too many years since I have tried programming in Avenue to remember these things!)
Thanks Rick
Original request: I have Network Analyst on AV3.2. I have 350 points and need to find the shortest distance between each point and its nearest neighbour.
I have the Nearest Features extension by Jenness Enterprises (http://jennessent.com/arcview/arcview_extensions.htm) and love it but it finds the shortest route as the crow flies. What my boss wants now, though, is to calculate the nearest features by following the roads.
Can anyone offer suggestions? Is there a way to do this with Network Analyst that I am not aware of? Is there another extension out there?
