I wish I could help you,
I have developed an application http://www.smartwebonline.com/ which do the
following :
1 - It reads the GPS points in lat. and long. format
2 - It can convert the lat. and long. points to 23 projection format such as
WGS 84
3 - It draw and trace the points in a shape file viewer
I going to add the following feature within this month :
4 - save the trace points to shape file
If you find that useful you can use it,
if you want something different, then just explain it to me
