Subject: Re: [gislist] Printing big maps in ArcMap

Vassil:

You should be aware of a new website and large format map printing service
we just launched at http://www.geoprinter.com.

As part of the new service, we are offering a free GeoPrinter PDF print
driver utility (which creates PDFs in 600dpi) which you can download so you
can quickly and easily create single page high resolution PDF documents in
sizes up to 9 X 12 feet. I believe this may solve the problem you are
having.

You simply create the PDF file with the utility, place an order, upload a
PDF document, and it is shipped out to you for delivery as early as the next
day.

For example, for the 2 X 2 Meter custom size laminated map you need would
cost $655 + shipping.

Thanks,

Kent Hargesheimer

Subject: [gislist] Printing big maps in ArcMap

Dear all,

I made few maps in ArcMap which are 2x2 m. If I want
to export them to tiff 225 dpi to be good for printing
(the maps will not be printed by me) I have a lack of
RAM (1 GB is available). If I export them to EPS it is
too big and the company which will print the maps
could not open it.

My question is whether it is possible to export the
map on two parts 2x1m.
I am using ArcMap 8.3.

Thank you in advance

Vassil
