To the best of my knowledge, GPS works in an earth centered coordinate system, X,Y & Z and then converts those X,Y & Z to a Lat/Long & Ellipsoid height system.....so...In My Humble Opinion.... why not stick with XYZ !!!
Adding projections just adds another level of complexity that need not be there.
Can anyone tell me if in this imaginary world we need to worry about the direction of Gravity too ? lol
