Hello -
I am the owner of an environmental consulting business. The "bread and butter" of my business is in conducting subsurface investigations for underground storage tank releases and soil mapping for development planning. Since I have completed the GIS certificate program through Penn State and have been using some of the Esri software I am very intrigued.
I would very much like for my business to expand into GIS consulting in the areas of environmental consulting. However, I would also like to expand into other areas of GIS consulting.
My knowledge of GIS and GIS consulting is very limited, but I feel that I would be able to make an investment in going in this direction. What advice could anyone give me on this, regarding hiring someone to "take the helm", expected salarie(s) and other investment costs? Also, how easy is it to go out and hunt prospective clients/projects?
Thanks,
