Subject: [gislist] ArcIMS and 3D Analyst
Date:  01/11/2006 08:55:01 AM
From:  Garnett, Ryan (xwave)

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with a little ArcIMS
question. I do not have any experience with IMS, but my company is
looking into purchasing it and me being the GIS Tech, I get to research
the product. What I would like to know is, can you open an ArcScene
project in ArcIMS. What I mean, in ArcScene, you can open layers and
save all the features in a 3D project (ie: extracted buildings, imagery
overlayed on a DEM etc). Then you can save this a project (like a .mxd
in ArcMap, I just forget the extension name for ArcScene). I am
wondering if you can open that saved ArcScene project in ArcIMS and view
it will all the 3D aspects (ie: extruded buildings, 3D symbology etc).

Thank you,

Ryan Garnett
