Hello everyone,
Here is a quick recap of all the wonderful responses I received from the GIS community, both in Alaska as well as in the lower 48.
Let me begin by offering a sincere thanks to all those who sent leads my way, as well as some actual data! The GIS community never ceases to amaze me. As many of you know (and informed me) the problem with finding geologic data (as well as a multitude of other data sets) for Alaska is that much of the state is still in the process of being mapped. The list of responses below is a testament to this fact. Kudos to all those noble mappers/scientists that are on the ground as I write this mapping out Alaska's vast frontier.
The most useful response to my particular mapping needs came from Nora B. Shew who is currently apart of a project that is creating digital geologic data for Alaska. She led me to these two sites to download and review her teams work in my area of interest (the Copper River):
The datasets are available on-line:
Wilson, Frederic H., Labay, Keith, A., Shew, Nora, B., Preller, Cindi C., Mohadjer, Solmaz, Richter, Donald H., 2005, Preliminary integrated geologic map databases for the United States: digital data for the geology of Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and Preserve, Alaska: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 2005-1342. pubs.usgs.gov/of/2005/1342
Wilson, Frederic H., Dover, James H., Bradley, Dwight C., Weber, Florence R., Bundtzen, Thomas K., Haeussler, Peter J., 1998, Geologic map of central (interior) Alaska: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 98-133 (also available in paper and on cd) wrgis.wr.usgs.gov/open-file/of98-133a
Thanks also to Lars Bromley who suggested using data from the ESRI database called ArcAtlas: Our Earth, as well as looking to IRIS: http://www.iris.edu/data/data.htm. Great leads, but not at the scale that I required.
I also received some very helpful emails that led me to base maps that I could use to digitize the layers. Thanks to Peter Haeussler (and AC Brown for giving me his contact info), John Stroud, and Dan Rathert for these leads:
Peter Haeussler:
As far as I know there is nothing "out" that is digital for active faults. However, if you get this map, it is the most current published active faults map for Alaska. It should be available in a good academic library. It shouldn't take too long to digitize the active faults in the area of interest.

For bedrock faults, part of your area is in this publication, available on the web: http://wrgis.wr.usgs.gov/open-file/of98-133-a/
The remaining part is in press in a USGS publication. However, lucky for you, the digital data is out at: http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2005/1342/
John Stroud: Here are some maps that can be digitized or author's contacted for datasets http://geo-nsdi.er.usgs.gov/metadata/map-i/2494/metadata.faq.html http://geopubs.wr.usgs.gov/open-file/of95-624/of95-624.pdf

Finally Michael Flaxman suggested an interesting lead: FEMA's HAZUS software and dataset (free by request). I requested this software and dataset, but have not received it yet, and so I can not comment on whether is covers Alaska or not.
Thanks again everyone!!!
Sincerely,
