Hello GISers:
Thanks to all those who sent valuable suggestions regarding stacked labels in ArcMap. Special thanks to David Lamb, Rell Fowler, Brandon Whitehead, and especially to Tim Van Vliet. With their help, I now have stacked labels which make for a more aesthetic map display.
The problem was that I was putting the vbNewLIne in its own separate & ... &, like this:
FindLabel = [CNTRY_NAME] & " " & [World Emergency Numbers.Country] & vbnewline & & " Ambulance: " & [World Emergency Numbers.Ambulance]
when it should have been syntaxed like this (concatenated, as Brian pointed out to me):
FindLabel = [CNTRY_NAME] & " " & [World Emergency Numbers.Country] & vbnewline & " Ambulance: " & [World Emergency Numbers.Ambulance]......etc
Anyway, my labelling VBScript now looks like this:
Function FindLabel ( [CNTRY_NAME], [World Emergency Numbers.Country], [World Emergency Numbers.Ambulance], [World Emergency Numbers.Fire], [World Emergency Numbers.Police] ) FindLabel = [CNTRY_NAME] & " " & [World Emergency Numbers.Country] & vbNewLine & "Ambulance: " & [World Emergency Numbers.Ambulance] & vbNewLine & "Fire: " & [World Emergency Numbers.Fire] & vbNewLine & "Police: " & [World Emergency Numbers.Police] End Function
Which gives the exact results for which I was looking.
Thanks again, for the help,
Cheers, George.
