Webinar Invitation:
The Geospatial Industry - An Overview

The President's High Growth Job Training Initiative serves as a national
model for working with leaders in high growth/high demand and
economically vital industries to develop solutions to workforce
challenges and to make strategic investments that address specific needs
for these industries. Employment in the Geospatial industry is on the
rise. Because the technology's uses are so widespread and diverse, the
geospatial market is growing at an annual rate of almost 35 percent,
with the commercial subsection of this market expanding at the rate of
100 percent each year. The worldwide market for geospatial technologies
has enormous potential. The most frequently quoted growth figures
estimate the geospatial market at $5 billion in 2001, with projected
annual revenues of $30 billion by 2005. This growth is due to many
factors, including the sector's importance to national economic and
security interests.

Workforce3 One is pleased to offer a series of insightful webinars that
overview each of the targeted industries. These webinars feature
business leaders and their education, economic development, and public
workforce investment partners discussing the industry's workforce
challenges and the successful demand-driven solutions implemented. Do
not miss this informative high-growth industry webinar:

technologies for applications as diverse as routing sanitation and
emergency vehicles, replacing water mains, and matching equipment to job
requirements. Private companies use geospatial information to make more
informed decisions in areas ranging from site selection, to marketing
demographics, to analyzing competition. Once a tool that was affordable
only to the largest organizations, geospatial systems have become a
cost-effective option for even the smallest organizations.
