Subject: Re: [gislist] Bundling shapefile/AV projects

Not that I know of directly. There is not command or utility like
Publish in Autodesk Map or Land Desktop which does what you are talking
about.

If you are using ArcView 3.x, there was an extension you could download
from the ESRI support website (http://support.esri.com) that would allow
you to easily repoint the data paths. For ArcGIS there is the publisher
extension which gives you various options for bundling data.

Aside from writing a batch file or creating some custom code that is the
best I can come up with based on my experience. If such a thing does
exist I would be interested as well.

Are there any utilities out there that would let me bundle up a copy of
each of the Arcview shapefiles in a project, and the project file, into
something equivalent to a zip file for shipping off to someone?

Thanks,
Hilary
