Hi,
Not directly GIS, but related -- I have just finished a big project:
setting up a database/library/archive for all kinds of graphics outputs.
A lot of these are outputs from GIS, while others are just graphic
design. The web-site also presents a collection of interactive maps,
powered by ArcIMS and some really huge databases in the backend.
I am particularily proud of the little map on the top right on the front
page, it is updated weekly using an ArcInfo GRID/workstation script and
ArcIMS... :)
This should give you GIS people out there some ideas for design, layout,
communication and presentation.
