The simplest way is to use the tool developed by Jeff Jenness called Nearest Features. It and a number of others can be found at http://jennessent.com/arcview/arcview_extensions.htm

I 'm seeking help for the following:
I have a set of points (round 220 representing different locations).
I'd like to know the best way of how to get distance between points found in this layer & a specific point (other than using the measure tool):
i.e If these points represent cities for example, I need to know the distance between each of the cities & the Capital.
How can I do this using either ArcView 3.2 or ArcMap 9.0 or if any extension can do this??
Best Regards,
Eng. Marwa Abul Hassan
