Did you look on ER Mapper's website? They have several tools and plug-ins for download.

Dear List,
The task at hand....
We need to extract part of some Satellite Imagery
compressed in ECW format. The area is defined as
aoi.shp.
ArcView Image Analyst is the software available.
Questions....
1. Is there a way to extract without decompressing the
file to .img?
2. Is there another software option
(freeware/shareware)?
