Hi Listers,
I have a quick question. Does anyone out there have a good understanding
of, and know why Oracle Index tablespaces are larger than their
corresponding tablespace? For example, we have dozens of vector datasets
loaded in Oracle 9i. Upon looking at the sizes of these two tablespaces,
the associated Index tablespace is over 100 Mb larger than the the
primary tablespace. As an additional note, we don't do a lot of editing
to our feature classes, and, we did just delete all feature
datasets/feature classes, and then replace them with a new updated
version.
p.s. Do these Index tablespaces ever need to be rebuilt? If so, when and
how often?
