Send gislist mailing list submissions to gislist@lists.geocomm.com Hi Steve,
There are closed polygon layers that you can purchase online at various sites and/or you can actually download the files from some county websites for free. If they want just the zipcode numbers reflected then the point file will work just fine but if your client is looking for boundaries of the zipcodes you will most likely need the polygons as well.
Hope This Helps,

Hello, I have a client who is requesting a zip+4 overlay - I have found several sources that offer geo-coded points but does anyone know if closed polygons exist, or is this layer more appropriate as a point coverage?
Thanks, Steve -- Laine GIS Consulting 1223 King St Santa Cruz, CA 95060 831.600.6437
