Hello,
I am a senior undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. I have developed a GML supported Decision Support System including Spatial Queries. Following are some of the major system properties :
1. The System consists of distributed systems/databases located at the different locations of an organisation, and are all linked with the central hub/data warehouse. The system can also be accessed through web. 2. The data/information is exchanged with the help of GML between the systems. 3. All the databases are spatial databases and supports spatial queries. 4. A nice graphical user interface that help the organisation head in taking important decisions(Decision Support) and provide him with the real time information about the whole of the organisation. Decision support includes providing him with optimal ways of doing things, triggering alert when raw material/ workers get less in number and several similar queries that the head has to deal with in managing the organisation. 5. Graphical Interface also includes a graphical/pictorial view of the whole organisation quite similar to Google Maps, so that he can just drag the map and see the real time information with the help of info windows associated with the map.
Further Integrations that are possible with the system are as follows : 1. The information from the real time sensor networks like RFID can be integrated in the system. 2. Information from the other positioning tools like GPS can also be integrated.
I have developed this whole system on a general basis, without keeping any particular organisation in mind.
Now having provided you with all the information about the system I need you to suggest me some organisation which would greatly benefit from my system and which has to deal with the spatial queries on a general basis.
I would request you not to consider this mail as if I want to take any commercial advantage of my system by asking you about the organisations, its just that having done the basic work now I want to develop this system specifically for some organisation which would benefit a huge from this. I am looking forward to publish my paper on this.
I would highly appreciate if someone would like to help me in developing my system further.
