Selvan,
In the United States, a National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is available
for free from the U.S. Geological Survey. Depending on your area, a
1:24000 scale geodatabase may be available. For more information, and
to download the data, go to: http://nhd.usgs.gov/

Where can I get a water network data model for reference.
I am in the process of understanding the water network data model from
shape file to GDB.
Does any one know where I can download this information free.
